European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Valeo Climatización belongs to the French Corporation Valeo and it is specialised in the manufacture of air conditioners and heaters for vehicles. Valeo Climatización is based in Martorell (Barcelona Province, Catalonien). On 18 February 2005 the Management, after several months of disputes with the labour representatives, decided to announce to the labour representatives a job reduction plan concerning 130 of its 538 employees. No reaction to this announcement has been appointed yet by either the regional authorities or by the labour representatives.
