Description
Kostelecké uzeniny a.s., a producer of smoked and canned foods as well as a complete range of meat products, intends to cut its current staff of 1,350 employees by 100. The company has become, since it was founded in 1917, one of the largest and fastest developing companies in the Czech Republic. The internal restructuring was evidently caused by rising purchasing prices, competition from imported meat and frequent veterinary tests following EU accession forcing the management to increase investment.
