Description

According to the Austrian newspaper Der Standard, the Viennese electrical firm AKG Acoustics sent, in the end of December 2004, written notice of a planned dismissal of 100 employees to the Labour Market Service. The paper stated that part of the production may be transferred to Hungary or the Czech Republic. Currently, the company employs 576 workers at the plant in Vienna. The firm, which is completely owned by the US-based Harman International Industries, manufactures electrical acoustic sets, such as microphones, headsets, conference circuit systems.
