Description
Dairy Crest has announced it is to close its factory in Yeovil in Somerset with the loss of 260 jobs. The Yoplait Dairy Crest factory is involved with making own-brand products for supermarkets, which the company says is less profitable.
The site is due to close by June 2005, and Dairy Crest is expected to focus on branded products such as Petits Filous.
