Description
The textile company Sociedade de Fabricantes, announced its closure. This announcement comes after the refusal of the social security to set off a recovery plan due to an accumulation of debts. The measure will affect 120 workers. The company was on hold since 21 December 2004. The 120 workers of the Sociedade de Fabricantes demand the payment of the vacation benefit and the proportional subsidies taxes as required by law. Sociedade de Fabricantes was a historical plant of the textile sector and the first unit of confections to operate in the district of Castelo Branco.
