The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Meridiana Airline Company announced 194 redundancies, involving 30 pilots, 60 cabin assistants and 104 ground staff. These job cuts might be suspended if the company will get additional routes to Sardinia. There are also plans to outsource some of the ground activities, notably the call centre and part of the ticket accounting services. The company has a total of some 1,500 employees of which around 350 are temporary.
