Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The company Lusomundo Media announced a restructuring plan affecting 111 workers, whose contracts will be terminated by mutual agreement. The amount of the compensation for the 111 workers corresponds to about 9 million euros, thus, each worker will receive, on average, 85,000 euros.
Lusomundo Media is the owner of radio TSF and periodicals ‘Diário de Notícias', ‘Jornal de Notícias', ‘24Horas' and ‘Tal & Qual'.
