European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Salomon, the sporting goods manufacturer wants to relocate a significant part of its production in Romania and China. By 2007, 160 jobs will be shed in the French production site of Rumilly. Monoski and snowboards will be manufactured in China from 2005 onwards. In 2007, only 35% of the ski production will be based in France. Several restructuring measures will be implemented such has early retirement and reclassification.
