Description

One month after its acquisition by the Austrian Shoe & Shirt, the shoe manufacturer GBB will shed 125 jobs (almost half of its workforce). The restructuring programme is implemented as a consequence of poor financial results, production prices being much higher than in countries where workforce is cheaper. Currently, the shoe industry in the region is going through harsh restructuring measures.
