A packaging company in Barnsley is to close with the loss of 400 jobs.
Parkside Performance Films at Darton has been in administration since 23 November and attempts to sell the business have failed.
About half the workforce were made redundant on Friday 17 December 2004. The other employees are being kept on for a short time to finish existing orders.
The company says it has been hit by rising raw material costs and the Darton plant has been losing money. The Parkside factories at Normanton in West Yorkshire and Zlotow in Poland are not affected.
