European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The restructuring now underway at PLL LOT, the Polish national airline, provides for a 500 million PLN reduction of operating expenses in 2006. The savings target will be achieved, among other means, by downsizing employment; over the years 2005-2006, PLL LOT expects to dismiss 800 cabin crew members out of a total number of 3,800 flying personnel.
