Description

Still Wagner, the forklift truck manufacturer, is planning to cut 300 out of 550 jobs at its Reutlingen site, as one of its production lines is to be transferred to its main German site in Hamburg. The remaining 250 employees at Reutlingen are to concentrate on the production on high-technology, high-lift trucks. Still Wagner saw turnover down by around 20 per cent at €104 million in 2003, and last showed an operating loss. The company belongs to the Still group, which, in turn, is owned by German engineering and industrial gases group Linde.
