European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Pabia, one of the leading Polish textile manufacturer, announced bankruptcy. One third of almost 300 workers will lose their jobs. Last year Pabia’s management decided on increasing prices and quality of products. The company overinvested, it produced eight expensive lines and bought German brand - Hensel & Mortensen. In order to save the trade-mark, the whole company will be offered for sale next year.
