Description
Following the recent acquisitions of Sovereign Specialty Chemicals and Dial, the German manufacturer of soap and detergents Henkel is planning to reduce its number of employees by 6% (with a total loss of 3,000 jobs). The job cuts will mostly affect Europe and the USA. The restructuring programme is expected to be concluded by 2006. Henkel has already cut off 3,000 jobs since 2001.
