Description

Alcatel has announced the redundancy of 76 employees out of a total of 378 n Geel. No direct dismissals are foreseen, but rather voluntary departures, early retirement measures, and, for 30 employees, transfer to some of the company's subcontractors. The Geel production unit will concentrate on high-added-value products, as it cannot compete with other production units of the group on low-added-value products (in China and Mexico).
