European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Renault Trucks is specialised in the production of motor vehicles and motor vehicles accessories. The company will present on 14 October 2004 a job reduction plan to the labour representatives. The job reduction plan includes the closure of the plant based in Villaverde (Madrid). Other measures concern an investment package of up to € 35 million to open a new plant. The present Villaverde plant has increased production this year by 7%. The new plant will employ 150 employees which are not affected by these measures.
