European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Despite a former restructuring plan initiated in 2003 and concerning 156 employees, les Etablissements Gantois, one of the first world units of manufacture of fabrics and metal cloths now employing 800, has filed for bankruptcy in July 2004.
Late November 2004, management announced that 181 jobs in Saint-Dié would go in the following weeks. Uncertainty concerning a closure of Saint-Dié and Monthureux-sur-Saône units remains.
