Description
Weru, the German manufacturer of doors and windows, intends to cut labour costs by € 13 million and is planning to introduce the 40-hour week without pay rise. Furthermore, the company intends to discontinue its holiday and Christmas bonuses and to cut 150 of the 1,050 jobs at its headquarters in Rudersberg. The company's works council has criticised management's cost cutting measures and has announced that it will protest against the planned cuts.
