The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
USG will reduce the number of United Restart branches from 23 to 22, resulting in the loss of more than 90 jobs. A provision of €4 million ($4.87 million) has been made for the restructuring which will result in cost savings of €3 million ($3.65 million) in 2005 when United Restart is expected to return to profitability. United Restart specialises in job coaching, career intervention and reintegration. The company has some 500 employees.
