European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
General Trailers, producer of trailers and semi-trailers, had filed for bankruptcy in November 2003. Two take over bids have been considered by the Tribunal of Commerce of Evry. On 5 April 2004, the Tribunal has pronounced its decision to prefer the offer from Todd, saving 1,574 jobs, instead of the one from Argos Soditic, which would have saved 1,662 jobs. This decision has been vividly contested by the employees' representatives.
