Description
The Danish brewery group Carlsberg is planning a significant number of job cuts at Holsten-Brauerei, the German brewery group that it acquired in January. 134 of the 765 jobs at Holsten's head office in Hamburg are to be cut; 209 jobs will be lost in the entire Holsten group. The reason for the job cuts is said to be that around 42 per cent of the Holsten group has been sold over the last few months. Outsourcing options are also being considered for other areas of Holsten's business; these include the logistics division.
