European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Alstom Transport, a branch of the French multinational company Alstom which is active in the railway manufacturing and service sector, has announced a reorganisation of its manufacturing activities. Notably, the production of bogies (bogies are the rolling base onto which the rail carriage or wagon is fixed) will be discontinued in three sites out of the present five and will be concentrated in France and Germany.
