European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The management of Moulinex has communicated to the Labour Representatives the closure of the production plant in Barbastro although the plant shows to be 40 % more profitable than the other European production plants of the group. The formal reason is that it cannot compete with the group's production costs in China. The company does not have the intention of closing the French production plants.
