European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
According to Union sources, DHL will suppress 450 jobs out of 900 in Diegem. This is part of a restructuring between the DHL centres of Bonn and Brussels. Brussels is to become the European centre of DHL, while Bonn would become the world centre. There would be 173 direct dismissals, 177 people would be transferred to Bonn and 98 would be transferred elsewhere. 150 people from Bonn could be transferred in Brussels. Management stated that it could not comment what was said in the works council.
