Description

Staff at the Daily Express are threatening strike action over plans for swingeing budget cuts they fear could result in the loss of up to 100 jobs.Since Richard Desmond took over the loss-making papers in 2000 he has slashed staff numbers to around 470 from over 900, and cut costs on everything from taxis to pens and notepads.
