Description
BAE Systems said yesterday it is to cut 1,000 jobs at two Lancashire factories during the next two years. The decision to axe 1,000 jobs at Warton and Samlesbury, some 10% of the workforce, was described as devastating and prompted calls for talks between unions, the government and the company to map out the future.
