Description

As part of the European restructuring plan of Alstom, 5,000 jobs will go in the UK as the group winds down manufacture of power plant equipment. On top of 1,000 job cuts at its Birmingham train making plant, a further 4,000 job cuts are planned - mostly at sites in Stafford, Rugby and Kidsgrove.
