Description
The UK government has announced that the NHS Modernisation Agency will close and the 760 staff will be replaced by a central body employing 150. The Agency was set up three years ago to revive failing hospitals and to spread good practice. Although some of the staff will be redeployed, compulsory redundancies have not been ruled out.
