Description

Samas-Groep is an international company focusing on the European markets for office furnishing. Around 3,100 men and women are on the payroll. Samas-Groep has 20 operating companies in the Benelux area, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and several other countries as the Czech Republic and Hungary. In the last six months, 375 (11%) permanent jobs were lost. Between April 2001 and September 2002, 686 (18%) permanent jobs had already been lost.

For 2003/2004, 300 jobs will be suppressed (announced on April 2).

April 2004. In the framework of the restructuring plan announced earlier, 53 jobs will be lost in Freiburg (Germany). Part of the production of Fortschritt (221 employees) will be transferred to Scharf and MBT in Germany and to Falco in Hungary.
