Description

The group Schneider wants to produce more in lower labour cost countries such as Eastern Europe and Asia', explained the group's spokesperson. The restructuring (spread out between 2003 and 2004) affects 1,000 jobs in France in several units: Barentin, Fontanil, Maiziers-lès-Metz, Argenteuil and Bardin. Between 300 and 400 jobs will be dismissed through natural attrition and early retirement. The rest will be directly dismissed.
