Description

Sabca, subsidiary of Dassault industries, will dismiss 321 jobs in different Belgian units. 141 will be lost at the Gosselies units, the rest at the units of Haren and Lumen.

The compromise between trade unions and management has been rejected twice by the personnel (vote of 58% negative in September and 75% in December). Following the second rejection in September, 12 people were already laid off at the Haren unit. The 10 workers fired at Christmas caused tension at the site of Gosselies; a strike occurred between January 5 and January 15. A social agreement was finally found on January 15 between workers and management.
