Description

Monsanto announced a restructuring plan affecting between 7% and 9% of its total workforce by the end of 2004. On a total of 13,200 employees, Monsanto will dismiss 1,200 world-wide, mostly in its agrochemist branch in Europe and the United States.

The measure is due to huge losses incured since 2002.
