Description

Alcatel CIT, main Alcatel subsidiary in France, will cut 470 jobs in 2004. In order to pursue this objective, the group wishes to encourage early retirements. Another 900 employees will be reaffected to other Alcatel locations (another 300 had already been redeployed in 2003). Unions fear for the survival of Alcatel CIT.
