European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
TPG Post plans to cut 5000 jobs by 2013. TPG's main business is post: collecting, sorting, transporting and delivering letters and parcels. The company also specializes in data and document services, direct mail, e-commerce and international post. Most of the jobs should be cut until 2008. The job losses (5000) will be replaced by 11000 cheaper jobs. (19-02-2003) TGP Post wants to replace 9000 full-time mailmen by part-time workers.
