The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In late August, Elisa started cooperation talks with the personnel in order to cut jobs. According to the company management, the profitability is not adequate. It will be improved by rationalising administration and centralising management. 190 jobs will be threatened by May 2004.
7th October 2003
Elisa has ended the cooperation talks with the
personnel. As a result of these talks, altogether 135 jobs will disappear. 70 permanent employees will be made redundant. Other restructuring measures include ending of fixed-term contracts and pension arrangements.
