European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
La Poste, the French postal services, wishes to streamline the organisation of its financial services. The reorganisation process will include the slimming of 2,800 jobs, mainly in back-office functions. Numerous retirements are foreseen until 2010, and a large number of them will not be replaced. 733 posts will already be suppressed in the course of this year.
