European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
For the first time in its history the Deutsche Post will proceed to direct dismissals, there is however a social plan for the personnel. In its subsidiary, Danzas Euronet, 140 drivers will loose their jobs at the beginning of 2004. This restructuring measure was made necessary by the loss of a big customer, Otto, but it also aims at reducing the overcapacity of the company.
