Description
Industeel Belgium announced a new restructuring plan affecting between 200 and 300 jobs at Charleroi. Primarily contracts with limited duration will not be renewed and temporary contracts will be removed (half of the dismissals will concern temporary workers). The measure is linked to the transfer of Industeel towards the German group Dillinger Hütte (Arcelor 51 %).
In 2002, 200 workers had already been made redundant as part of a previous plan of the ex- Fafer, now renamed Industeel.
