European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
A&R Carton has filed for bankruptcy, dismissing the whole of its 300 employees. A take over bid has been made, preserving 70 jobs. Two years after the bankruptcy, 116 fired employees have won their case in court, arguing that the dismissals were illegal. As the company has been taken over, no re-integration of the workforce was possible. Each amployee has been awarded 40.000 euros instead.
