Over the next three years, the management of Barco will intend to consolidate its electronic module surface mounting activities into a single location in Poperinge, Belgium. This consolidation will lead to the transfer of 107 full-time jobs to the Poperinge plant. Additionally, 113 full-time jobs will disappear in Belgium, partly due to the relocation of its mounting activities to Kladno in the Czech Republic. The company sees organisational advantages of restructuring measures, leading to greater efficiency and significant cost savings.
