Description

Avebe, the Netherlands-based starch-producing firm, has announced the withdrawal of its branches from over 60 countries.The decision to pull out has been caused by disappointing profits for the Dutch company.

In 2002, Avebe already announced a restructuring involving the suppression of 450 jobs worldwide.

January 2004, Avebe announces the suppression of 200 jobs worldwide. According to the company, this is due to the economical crisis and the weakness of the dollar.
