Due to the closure of the Carrera site in Traun near Linz that produces glasses, 473 workers (mainly women) loose their job. An "Arbeitstiftung" has been created to help workers to improve their qualifications in order to have more opportunities to find a new job. The social plan foresaw that some 200 to 230 former workers of Carrera would take part to the courses, but some 270 are now interested. The local authorities declared they were ready to help in the financing of this operation.
