European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Akzo Nobel Surface Chemistry has started an efficiency improvement programme, primarily affecting its European and North American operations. The programme aims at strengthening Surface Chemistry's position in the segments where it operates. There will be a staff reduction of approximately 200 employees, some 120 people in North America and 80 in Europe.
