European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
FCI Electric France, subsidiary of Areva, announced a restructuring plan affecting 130 jobs out of 290 in France. The measure is due to large competitor relocation in Asia and a third consecutive loss. Two plants are affected: Fressenneville, where the domestic production will be concentrated, and Evreux, where the export production will be outsourced. Job reductions will mostly take place at the plant of Evreux. Out of 130 jobs, 44 will be reduced through early retirment measures.
