European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Managment does not want to close the sites but intends to transfer some activities where structural costs are lower. 49 jobs will be dismissed at the Gent unit, and 47 at the Mons unit. In September 2003, management announced the dismissal of 393 jobs at the Herentals unit, where 169 jobs were already made redundant in 2002. In June 2004, the company announced that 75 of the 169 dismissals planned at Herentals would not take place.
