Description
Ford Europe announced a big restructuring plan affecting 4,700 jobs in Europe, more precisely at the Genk plant in Belgium and at plants in Cologne and Saarlouis in Germany. After a restructuring plan affecting 1,400 workers at the Genk plant in 2002, 3,000 more jobs will be dismissed there. The Cologne plant will be reduced by 1,700 jobs. The measure is due to the slowdown of the motor vehicles market in Europe.
