The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
P&O announced that a further 600 jobs will go after further restructuring of its ferry operations. The company announced 600 redundancies in November 2003 mainly affecting the Dover workforce. Lord Sterling said that the latest staff to be lost were going on a voluntarily basis and that full consultation with employees and unions would occur before any further changes were made.
