Description

In July 2003, Varta announced the closure of the production plan of Vienna, specialised in automotive batteries. The production will be relocated in other european plants. This closure is due to technological evolution and hard competition in the sector. The management will try to relocate the employees and a social plan will be negociated with the unions. 140 workers are affected by the measure.
