European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The redundancies are voluntary, and severance terms of five and a half weeks pay per year of service have been agreed between management and unions.
Lapple Ireland Ltd manufactures car parts, and management has attributed the job losses to exchange rate fluctuations, increases in indirect costs and low-cost competition from other countries.
