Description
GAH Alberts is a German family-owned company producing several different metal products. As far as the production of hinges, it was initially outsourced and offshored in China mainly for cost reason. However, in 2016 the company decided to relocate and re-insource such a product line in its plant at Herscheid (Germany). As a consequence, the German facility was highly automated in order to improve the company flexibility, reduce delivery time, and realize higher quality products. However, changes in the Herscheid plant requested more time tha expected, therefore the production started only in 2018.
